Being able to embrace difference is a challenge for many, especially when it comes to cultural lines and bridging the divide. But taking the first step is the key to enacting change in oneself, and also to see change happen in community.

This is exactly what sparked the origin story behind Strive Connecting.

As an initiative that first found its roots in a refugee story, the young, yet inspirational founder of what started as a deep-seated desire to celebrate diversity and connect young people from multicultural backgrounds together, has now sparked a movement that is gaining momentum. By combating the challenges facing those from refugee and migrant backgrounds, including racism, Strive Connecting is on a mission to dismantle barriers facing young, emerging leaders through a multi-pronged approach, beginning with education, equipping youth, and fostering open dialogue through workshops, gatherings and open conversations.

Lena, the founder of Strive Connecting, is a passionate ambassador for the cause, and says,
