Asian Australian Project x SolveSquad
Representation is often an understated challenge in our growingly diverse community, and especially when those from multicultural backgrounds are not visible in positions of power and influence.
Enter the Asian Australian Project.
AAP exists to facilitate the journey of Asians between cultures (ABCs) in their growth towards exploring identity and culture in Australian society. Now operating as a nonprofit, its focus has expanded to engage those with varied experiences by incorporating unique perspectives into the way in which they serve the wider community.
The project has continued to reach many through the guiding leadership of Michelle Lim, who has said that “the project has grown beyond what was originally envisioned as a location-specific initiative, to reaching volunteers from multiple backgrounds across the country”.
AAP continues to connect with diverse communities through the provision of innovative resources, in-person and virtual events, as well as providing a platform for advocacy and engagement.
