SAY-X Challenge x Solve Squad Aug 12 Written By Joseph Kolapudi “From the onset of the global pandemic, there have been numerous challenges that have been brought to the forefront of society; stemming from the health repercussions post-COVID-19, to the impact on the economy, to how the workforce has changed as a result. However, one of the biggest challenges facing every country is how we respond. For young people, the playing field has been levelled, and there are more opportunities than ever for individuals to respond and meet such a challenge. Solve Squad has begun collaboration with what is known as the South Asian Youth X-Change, or the SAY-X Challenge. This particular collective is run for youth and by youth, as a way to respond to issues that are affecting reaching the goal of being an equitable society. The way that this initiative does so is by following three main steps; (1) advocacy; (2) dialogue; and (3) action. At Solve Squad, we also believe in using the same steps in responding to the global COVID-19 crisis; and are working on a collaborative initiative to gather young people together from SAARC nations to identify ways to work together to address these challenges stemming from the pandemic. In tandem with the World Economic Forum’s Global Shaper community, as well as the United Nations Young Changemakers Conclave, and X Billion Skills Labs, we will be hosting an online platform through which young people can ideate innovative responses from a cultural perspective to address the issues that are affecting society and how to identify solutions to these challenges. Both thought leaders, leading students, and talented young professionals will come together to bring these ideas to reality using a combination of collaborative and innovative efforts. We hope to stay connected as we bring this conversation forward, together.” — https://www.sayx.org/about-say-x Joseph Kolapudi
