Supporting Volunteers Everywhere - National Student Volunteer Week
When we all think back to a time when it felt like we had all the time in the world - and so much potential, we often think about our younger days and how we had to contribute to society as a whole. As students, we often begin to appreciate what we have in hindsight.
On this National Student Volunteer Week, we at SolveSquad would not be the social enterprise we are without our volunteers. Many of our core team members, strategic partners, and even new workers are highly skilled, dependable and passionate volunteers who give hours and hours of their precious time, talents and treasured efforts to make our dreams - and hopefully theirs, a reality.
Of our new volunteers, we would like to share the story of Amal, the marketing genius behind what you often see on our social media feeds and on our website, including managing our current campaigns and event schedules.
Amal came to us as a new international student who just arrived in Australia barely a few months earlier. She has been contributing to our marketing department between her busy university schedule as a masters student, while also balancing her part-time weekend job.
Of her volunteer experience so far, she remarks:
“Volunteering with SolveSquad has been a fulfilling experience...helping with marketing events, creating materials, and showcasing our collaborative efforts”
As this year’s theme reflects Generation Impact, we acknowledge the tireless efforts of our volunteers, and many of our partners and supporters over the years who have poured countless hours into our organisation - we see you, and we value your contributions, both big and small.
