Very few opportunities begin at a young age, especially for those from multicultural backgrounds; but in a sense, there are always new ways for youth to get involved on a bigger platform, especially when such an opportunity arises from young people themselves.

Enter Takeover Melbourne.

Through the support of the ABC, this initiative has been made available for young people, especially students, from the ages of 12-18. For enrolled high school students in the greater Melbourne area, you are able to enter the competition and share your story with a national audience.

Sharing your own story may be intimidating, but to make it interesting, Takeover Melbourne is offering students the change to share about a recent challenge you may have overcome in your life, an important moment or recent memory, or even something you would like to see change in your community. This opportunity will be turned into a video production that will be aired on ABC, and you can enter online.
