Humanity in Tech x SolveSquad

One of the major challenges that COVID-19 has presented to Australia and the globe is - where do we go from here? The answer to this question has been one of the toughest to answer, both on a local and global level.

Part of the solution, however, is changing the conversation. As we continue to flatten the curve and work towards the “new normal”, there have been major changes as to how our society has begun to view and respond as humanity to our surroundings.

Humanity in Tech (HiT) is one such movement that has been shaping the conversation for quite some time. As an initiative of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers community, this platform has identified innovative approaches to the intersection of technology and society.

Through digital platforms, HiT explores and equips people with the humane skills and values to shape communities for good. Pulling together thought leaders, changemakers and impact pioneers, this global initiative is able to tap into the conversations that explore a better future for all. In addition, the platform assists in mapping out human values in leadership to inspire communities around the world to do the same. As an online response to COVID-19, the initiative will also be seeking ways to collaborate with those on a global scale who are responding in real-time to the challenges that are being faced by society as a whole.

As a collaborative effort with the Global Shaper community, Solve Squad will be collaborating together with Humanity in Tech to highlight the way that young people are assisting in educating and empowering individuals, businesses and organisations to uniquely respond to COVID-19. This will include exploring environmental sustainability, employment, biotech, education, mental health culture and the arts, especially in ways that will help shed the spotlight on pioneers making a difference post-COVID-19.

We are excited about exploring the possibilities moving forward; please watch this space for future updates!
